The sales call starts with "how much per invoice?" The honest answer is "we do not count invoices. We count pages." A one-page invoice is one page. A three-page PDF is three pages. A 100-page bundle of mixed invoices is 100 pages. The meter does not care that some of those pages are challans or weighment slips. It counts what it rasterised.
That is the published pricing: ₹1.40 per page to 40,000 pages a month, ₹1.20 beyond. At 40,000 pages that is ₹56,000. No seat fees. No minimum. No invoice counts. The meter is pages. Published on /pricing.
A rasterised image the pipeline reads. PDF, JPG, PNG. Multi-page PDFs are split page by page. Each rasterised image is one page. If the pipeline cannot read a page (corrupted file, unreadable scan), it is still a page because it was rasterised. Check /pricing for what is and is not billed.
Why per-page, not per-invoice
A one-page invoice and a three-page invoice are different jobs. The one-page invoice needs one OCR pass, one validation, one export row. The three-page invoice needs three OCR passes, three validations, three export rows. Per-invoice pricing would charge the same for both. Per-page pricing charges for the work done.
The other reason: Indian AP bundles are messy. A supplier staples the tax invoice to the challan. A weighment slip sits in the middle. A credit note from last week is in the same PDF. Per-invoice pricing would charge one invoice for five pages. Per-page pricing charges five. The alternative is to pretend the pipeline did not read five pages. That is a lie.

Volume step
40,000 pages is the step. Below 40,000: ₹1.40 per page. Above: ₹1.20. At 40,000 pages: ₹56,000. At 100,000 pages: 40K at ₹1.40 plus 60K at ₹1.20 equals ₹1,28,000. Published on /pricing.
The step is not a discount. It is a volume price. There is no commitment. If next month you send 20,000 pages, you pay ₹28,000. No annual lock-in. No minimum. The meter is per-page, per-month.
What about failed pages?
If the pipeline rasterised it and could not read it, it is still a page. The rasterisation happened. The cost happened. Check /pricing for the exact billing rules. We will not promise "you only pay for pages we read" if that is not what the meter does. The meter is honest about what it counts.
vs per-invoice pricing
Some IDP vendors charge per invoice. A one-page invoice costs the same as a three-page bundle. That is a different pricing model. It is not better or worse. It is different. If your invoices are all one page, per-invoice may be simpler. If your invoices are bundles, per-page is more honest. Compare the two models on your actual paper volume.
