Terms of service
How billing is metered, how self-serve works, and exactly what the validation gate does and does not guarantee.
Who you are contracting with
These terms are an agreement between you (the company creating the workspace, and anyone you invite into it) and DataDab LLP (LLPIN AAD-9765), registered at Bangalore, trading as EntryLedger. By creating a workspace or uploading a document you accept these terms.
What the service does
EntryLedger reads supplier invoices you upload, extracts the accounting fields, validates them, and produces files you can import into Tally. The pipeline and its routing are described on the how it works page.
The accuracy contract
This is the core of the service, so it is stated plainly:
No entry is marked ready for export unless it passes GST checksum and arithmetic validation, or a human in your workspace has explicitly confirmed it.
What that means in practice:
- An invoice can be wrong in a way the validators can see. A mistyped GSTIN. Tax that won't reconcile. It gets blocked. Routed to a person, scan next to the fields.
- An invoice can be wrong in a way no validator can see. A supplier prints the wrong taxable value but their own math still closes. No extractor can catch that. That's why a flagged invoice still needs a human to confirm.
EntryLedger is a data-entry tool with a hard mathematical gate, not an audit. The output is only as reliable as the document you feed it.
Self-serve
You create a workspace yourself, buy pages, and upload your own scans. Every page the pipeline reads is metered and pages never expire. There is no committed minimum accuracy rate and no trial period to sit through: your straight-through rate is shown in the console from the moment you start, measured on your own paper, and you decide whether it is good enough.
Billing
The service is billed per page actually processed, not per page uploaded and not per seat:
- ₹1.40 per page, plus GST.
- ₹1.20 per page beyond 40,000 pages in a calendar month.
- Pages are metered on what the pipeline reads and turns into a document. Pages it fails to process are not billed, and a non-invoice page our classifier routes away (a delivery challan, a lorry receipt, a duplicate copy) is not billed.
Paying
- Self-serve workspaces buy pages in advance. A pack is a number of pages at the rates above, charged once through our payment provider (Razorpay). Pages do not expire and are used as invoices are processed; uploading is refused before anything is read when the balance is short. The console shows the balance and a full ledger at all times.
- Provisioned workspaces are billed monthly on pages processed, as agreed with you in writing.
Prices are exclusive of GST. We issue a GST invoice, carrying our GSTIN, to the workspace email for every purchase or billing period. Payment is processed by Razorpay; we do not store your card details.
Refunds
Unused pages from a purchase are refundable within 7 days of the payment. We refund the unused portion to the original payment method; pages already used to process invoices are not refundable, because the work was delivered. Write to us and we will process it.
Your responsibilities
- You will only upload documents you are entitled to process.
- You keep your login credentials confidential and are responsible for activity under your account. Rotate your API key in the console if you believe it has leaked.
- You will not use the service to process documents you know to be fraudulent, nor attempt to extract another tenant's data.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee. If the service is unavailable we will tell you, and we will not bill for pages we failed to process.
Ending the relationship
Either side may stop at any time. You can close your workspace from the console or by emailing us; we will confirm closure and stop billing from that date. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will give you notice and a chance to fix it unless the breach is serious.
On closure we delete your documents and extracted data as described in our privacy policy.
Limits of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or the cost of correcting entries you imported into your books. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts at Bangalore having exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially reduces your rights or increases what you pay, we will notify account owners by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change.
